Emmett Thornton Presley

Emmett Thornton Presley passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on December 11, 2021. Emmett was born on November 17, 2021. During his 23 days on this Earth, Emmett drew people closer to Christ through their incessant prayers for his healing. He touched countless lives and was deeply loved by family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Jason Williams. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

Emmett is the son of Elliott & Emily Presley, of Benson, NC. He is survived by paternal grandparents, Keith & Rose Presley, of Elizabethtown, NC; and maternal grandparents, Eric & Amy Fann of Benson, NC. He is also survived by great-grandparents Jane Presley of Hobe Sound, FL; Phyllis Reams of Henderson, NC; Joyce Coats of Benson, NC; and Larry & Judy Fann of Roseboro, NC; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins are left to cherish Emmett’s memory. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents Paul Presley, Macon & Conolia Williams, Joe & Louise Huff, and Jerry Coats.

The family wishes to thank the outstanding staff at Duke University Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Ronald McDonald House of Durham.

Emmett gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on Earth and we will hold him again in Heaven one day.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:45PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 and other times at the home of Eric & Amy Fann, 1200A Morgan Road, Benson, NC 27504.

Flowers are welcome; however, memorials may be made to Emmett’s Embrace, c/o Emily Presley, 312 W Church Street, Benson, NC 27504.

In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required, but are kindly recommended for all services.
