Ernest Winstead

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ernest Braxton Winstead, age 57,  of NC Hwy 96 South passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Wake Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Friday, August 28, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Burial will follow in the Four Oaks City Cemetery. Mr. Dale Hobbs will officiate.                  Mr. Winstead was born on March 23, 1963 in Wake County to the late Malley and Faye Marie O'Neal Winstead. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Cody Winstead. He was the owner and operator of Ernie's Metal Roofing for 30 plus years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Advent Christian Church.                  Surviving include his wife of 39 years, Barbara C. Winstead of Four Oaks; daughters, Heather Winstead of Four Oaks, Josie Hairr and husband, Andrew of Autryville; son, Dennis Johnson of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Noleyn Proctor, Alyssa Hairr, Elijah Johnson, Anberlin Hairr; mother and father, Betty Hobbs and husband, Dale of Garner; sisters, Susan Pittman of Clayton, Lynette Hobbs of Clayton, and Dawn Hobbs of Clayton and many nieces and nephews.                    The family will receive friends 1:30PM-2:30PM on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.             In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
