Ernestine "Peggy" Barbour

Lillington, NC: Miss Ernestine “Peggy” Barbour, age 68, passed away on Sunday, January, 1, 2023 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro. There will be a Celebration of Life Service along with a Private Family Graveside Service held at a later date. 

Miss Ernestine was born on August 22, 1954 in Johnston County to the late Ernest E. and Callie Adams Barbour. Miss Ernestine was born with Downs Syndrome but everyone who knew her loved her spirit.  She knew how to make everyone feel better.

Surviving are her sister, Alice Barefoot of Angier; niece, Kathy Godwin of Myrtle Beach, SC and as well as a large second family at RHA in Benson.
