Ethel Barbour

Coats, NC:  Mrs. Ethel Dorman Barbour, age 78, of 618 Tart Road West died Sunday at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday at Coats Baptist Church.  Officiating will be Revs. Jesse Mooney and Jimmy Newkirk. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.             Mrs. Barbour was born on June 29, 1938 in Harnett County to the late Willie F. and Muriel Buffkin Dorman. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Connie Ennis. Mrs. Barbour retired from the grocery business and was also a member of Coats Baptist Church.                     Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Doyle Ray Barbour; children and spouses, Karen Lynn Barbour Eldridge of Machias, Maine, Timothy Doyle Barbour and wife, Jane Gibson Barbour of Dunn, Sonya Gail Barbour of Nashville, TN and Jennifer Dawn Barbour Russell of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren and spouse, Anna Marie Barbour Rhodes and husband Andrew, Elytte Randle Barbour, Isabella Grace Kirkman and Calvin Phoenix Russell; great grandchildren,  Kyndle Barbour and Samuel Rhodes; sister, Katherine Ennis of Coats; brother, Franklin Dorman of Erwin; several nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC  27607.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
