Coats, NC: Mr. Ethridge Stephenson, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Stephenson was born on August 29, 1933 in Harnett County, NC to the late Nelson and Pearl Ennis Stephenson. He was a retired truck driver with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Stephenson loved the outdoors, and had a very special love for all his grandchildren.

Surviving include his wife of 52 years, Hazel Taylor Stephenson, children, Princess Carroll and husband, Russell, and Brandi Maynard and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Walter Carroll and wife, Courtney, Taylor Carroll, Weston Carroll and fiancée, Aimee, Trenton Carroll, James Patrick Maynard, Ciara Ashlynn Maynard and Jonathan Maynard; sisters, Barbara Stewart and Brenda Pope; brothers, Carl D. Stephenson and Ricky Stephenson; many nieces and nephews.
