Angier: Mrs. Eula Gregory Stancil, age 89, died Saturday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Coats Baptist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Jesse Mooney and Rev. Grover Blackburn. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.
Mrs. Stancil was born on December 15, 1926 in Harnett County to the late Ralph Lane and Flora Nordan Gregory. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Ray Stancil; sister, Mary S. Stevens; and a brother, C. Albert Gregory. Mrs. Stancil was a homemaker and a member of Coats Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and served in many capacities.
She is survived by sons & daughter-in-law, Freddie L. & Kathy Stancil and Phillip R. Stancil, all of Angier; grandchildren, Julie Raynor, Brandon Stancil & wife, Kathryn, Bradley Stancil & wife, Kristi, and Taylor B. Faircloth; great grandchildren, Brandon Stancil, II, Alex Raynor, Jared Raynor, Fisher Stancil, Saylor Stancil, River Stancil, and Tyde Stancil; and brother, W. H. Gregory of Angier.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Monday and other times at the home of Freddie & Kathy Stancil, 466 Stancil Road, Angier, NC.
