Eva Johnson

Benson, NC: Mrs. Eva Wood Beasley Johnson, age 94, of 9722 Strickland’s Crossroads Road died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, NC. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Revs. Billy Keene and Hubert Morgan. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born August 5, 1917 in Johnston County to the late A. B. and Lucinda Young Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Beasley, daughter, Patricia Jones, and granddaughter Pamela Sykes.  Mrs. Johnson retired as a custodian from South Johnston High School, was a homemaker and attended Unity Advent Christian Church. Surviving include, Son, Donnie Beasley of Benson; Grandson, Phil Jones of Benson; Three Great Grandchildren; Two Great Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews; Beloved Pet, Jody Russell Beasley; and Special Friend, Ada Allman. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Coralene Sloan and her family. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson Friday, September 30, 2011, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and other times at the home of Phil Jones, 281 Turlington Drive, Benson.
