Evanglene Lee

Meadow, NC: Mrs. Evanglene “Van” Neighbors Lee, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at her residence. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Lee Family Cemetery in Meadow.  Rev. Grover Blackburn will officiate.             Mrs. Lee was born on February 28, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Silas Colon and Medie Creech Neighbors.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Gayle Lee and her sisters, Marie Buckalew, Lois Pope, Ellen Grimes, Lettie Humbarger and Brenda Killebrew.  Mrs. Lee was a retired manager with Southern Bell Telephone and was a homemaker.    Surviving include sons, Allen Douglas “Doug” Lee and wife, Kathy of Charlotte and Eric Gregory “Greg” Lee and wife, Deana of Benson; grandchildren, CPT. Eric Allen Lee, II, MD and wife, Lucy; John Douglas Lee and wife, Rose, and Dr. Eric Bradley Lee and wife, Morgan; great-grandchildren, Cora Cosette Lee and Frederick Monroe Lee; sister, Patricia Glover and a brother, S.C. Neighbors, Jr. and wife, Frances; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lee will be available for viewing, and you will be able to sign the register book on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 12:00 PM-5:00 PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. The family will not be present during this time.             Due to the current health concerns the family understands you are not able to join them for the services. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
