Evelean Surcey Johnson

Benson, NC: Mrs. Evelean Surcey Johnson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Springbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clayton. Family will hold services on a later date. 

Mrs. Johnson was born on July 30, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Redden and Leslie Ryals Surcey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Johnson; and brothers, Charles Surcey and Melvin Surcey. Mrs. Johnson retired from the Benson Shirt Factory and was a homemaker. 

Survivors include her son, Dale Johnson of Benson; sister, Corine Pilkington of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
