Dunn, NC: Mrs. Evelyn E. Ennis, age 97, of Dunn died Saturday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Tony Beasley.
Mrs. Ennis was born September 16, 1918 in Harnett County to the late Lynn and Addie Peterson Ennis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ennis, Sr., sons, Donald Ray Ennis, Sr., and Hal Richard Ennis, Sr.; daughter, Priscilla Kay Ennis; grandson, Joel Ray Ennis; and sister, Heloise Holmes. Mrs. Ennis was a homemaker, a farmer, and a member of Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are children, Lynwood Larry Ennis and wife, Jean, of Dunn, Hubert Ennis, Jr., and friend, Caroline, of Dunn, Gary Ennis and wife, Ann, of Benson, Phillip R. Ennis and wife, Anne, of Dunn, Stanley Joe Ennis and fiancée, Pam, of Pink Hill, Pamalia Ennis of Dunn, and Perry Dale Ennis and wife, Nikki, of Dunn; daughter-in-law, Sharon Ennis of Benson; and 75 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 9:00AM to 10:30AM Tuesday prior to the service and other times at the home, 147 Evelyn Lane, Dunn, NC.
