Evelyn Wheeler

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Evelyn Massengill Wheeler, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at  the SECU Hospice House, Smithfield.  Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks.  Burial will follow at Blackman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks.               Mrs. Wheeler was born on November 15, 1936 in Johnston County to the late Roby and Mary Lee Massengill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy Glenn Wheeler, grandson, Griffin Aaron Leveris, brother, Elwood Massengill and sisters, Wilma Allen and Ruby Moore.  Mrs. Wheeler was a retired seamstress in the textiles industry and was a homemaker.               Survivors include her children, Jewel Wheeler Hayes and husband, R.M. or Four Oaks, and Barbara Wheeler Barefoot of Dunn; grandchildren, Michael Blackmon of Zebulon; Michelle B. Leveris and husband, Aaron of Four Oaks and Glenna Barefoot of Dunn; great-grandchildren, Ansley Blackmon, Grant Michael Blackmon and Stacy Kate Leveris; many nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends 1:30 PM -2:45 PM, Sunday, November 3, 2019, prior to the service at  Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of R.M. and Jewel Wheeler Hayes, 1646 Strickland's Crossroads Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.               In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the SECU Hospice House, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC 27524.
