Faundria "Joi" Norris McLamb

Benson, NC: Mrs. Faundria “Joi” Norris McLamb, age 63, of W. Hale Street passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church in Benson. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  

Joi was born on January 5, 1961 in Hardin County, Kentucky to the late Stacy Alton and Willadean Hardison Norris. She graduated from South Johnston High School in 1979. Joi began her career with the Benson Police Department as a dispatcher and later joined the Johnston County Sherriff’s Department where she retired after 21 years of service. Joi was the founder of the Adopt-A-Cop program in Johnston County. She was passionate about her support for all law enforcement and her law enforcement family. In addition, Joi was a floral designer at City Florist in Benson and Mill Town Florist in Erwin. She was an active member of Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church.

Surviving includes her husband of 37 years, Timothy Earl McLamb; brother and sisters, Randy Norris and wife, Terri of Benson, Candace “Candy” Watson and husband, Charles of Clayton, Sharyn “Spankie” Williford of Benson; nieces and nephews, Mackenzie Duke (Ben), Madison Clifton (Ashton), Landon Wood (Andrea), Savanna Norris, and Jackson Wood; great-niece and nephews, Everett Bryant, Merle Clifton, and Parker Duke; sister-in-law, Joy McGee of Benson; fur-babies, Harley, Henry, and Sophie.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.  

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church, c/o Phyllis Barefoot, 64 Wood’s Crossroads Road Benson, NC 27504.
