Four Oaks: Mrs. Floy Mae Cooke Langdon, age 85, of 400 Stanley Street, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John Norman. Burial will follow in Four Oaks Cemetery.
Mrs. Langdon was born in Johnston County on December 9, 1926 to the late Joseph Leonard and Mary Stephenson Cooke. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Willis Rudolph Langdon, Brothers, J.L. Cooke, Jr., Roy Edward Cooke and a Son-in-law; Vernon Cummings. Mrs. Langdon was a 1943 graduate of Four Oaks High School. She was a standing member of First Baptist Church of Four Oaks where she sang in the choir and was a member of Missions for Christ Circle. Mrs. Langdon was a retired substitute teacher at Four Oaks School and also was a bridal consultant at Green’s Jewelers and Belk.
Surviving include; Daughters & Son-in-law; Patsy L. Cummings of Youngsville and Annette L. and Joey Carroll of Raleigh; Son & Daughter-in-law, Rick R. & Carolyn Langdon of Four Oaks. Nine Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, Four Oaks on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00 P.M.
