Francisco Augustin Collao

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Francisco Augustin Collao, age 60, of NC-96 South passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at his residence. 

Mr. Collao was born on September 17, 1964 in Dade County, Florida to the late Carlos A. Collao and Lourdes Isabel Prescott. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Peto Collao. Mr. Collao was a concrete operator by trade with a big heart who loved to have fun and enjoy life. He was a free spirit that loved his boat and the beach, enjoyed a cold natural light, whiskey, and a joint from time to time. His family will remember him by his awesome sense of humor, his favorite saying, “By Law”, his love of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and his favorite song “The Rhythm is Gonna Get You” by Gloria Estefan. More than anything he was a loving protector for his family and never missed a chance to spend time with them. 

Survivors include his son, Francisco Collao, Jr. and wife, Melanie; daughter, Danii Collao; grandchildren, Kahner Ballew, Jackson Collao, Korbin Ballew, Alayna Collao, and Caleb Hill; special friend, Annette Williford; siblings, Jerry Robinette, Sherry Vigoreaux, Maria Lopez, and Albert Collao; niece, Vanessa Roque, God daughter, Nikita Collao; God son, Carnice Warren; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
