Benson, NC: Mr. Fred Thompson Raynor, age 83, of Woodall Dairy Road passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM-Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Military Honors. Rev. Marshall Stewart will officiate. Mr. Raynor was born on June 28, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Frank and Latha Barefoot Raynor. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Whitney Browning. Mr. Raynor was a retired teamster union commercial truck driver and served our country in the US Army. He was a long serving member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Benson Masonic Relief Lodge #431. Mr. Raynor was also a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church and loved to gather at McDonalds with all the local seniors. Surviving include his wife, Hilda Raynor; son, Ben Frank Raynor and wife, Lisa Michelle; daughter, Traci Raynor; grandchildren, Allison Chadwick and husband, Jonathan, Kayla Sanchez and husband, Gonsalo, Ben Frank Raynor, Jr., and wife, Tiffany; and Casey Thomas Raynor and friend, Liz; five great-grandchildren, Alayna Evalynn, Macy Brooke, Nevaeh, Brayden Luke, Scarlett Diane; sister, Hazel Tharrington; brother, J.F. Raynor; special caregiver and friend, Hana Morgan; many nieces and nephews. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Benson Masonic Relief Lodge #431.The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
