Gail Nordan Johnson

DUE TO WEATHER THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN THE ROSE AND GRAHAM FUNERAL CHAPEL IN BENSON, NC

Mrs. Gail Nordan Johnson, age 67, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral Services will be 12:00PM-Monday, February 7, 2022 at Rose & GrahamFuneral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Nordan Family Cemetery outside Benson, NC  

Mrs. Johnson was born on April 9, 1954 in Harnett County, NC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert, Jr., (John A.) and Nellie Nordan, uncle, Durwood Porter and several other aunts and uncles.  Mrs. Johnson worked for several years at Medlin and Dorman, and eventually retired after many years with Nationwide Insurance in Raleigh, NC. Gail’s greatest pleasures in life were her children and being “Nanny” to her grandchildren.  

Surviving include her husband of 50 years, Connie Johnson of Benson, NC; son, Chris Johnson and wife, Tracey of Benson, NC; daughter, Jennifer Johnson Hartford and husband, Reid of Four Oaks, NC; grandchildren, Blake Johnson and wife, Kristy of Benson, NC, Colby Johnson and wife, Dava of Benson, NC, Emerson Bunn and John Luke Johnson of Four Oaks, NC; great-granddaughter, Nellie Brooks Johnson and soon to be twin great-granddaughters, Conleigh and Kasey Johnson; brother, John Nordan of Benson, NC; several nieces and a nephew; special companion, Ellie Mae.

The family will receive friends 10:30AM-11:30AM, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home. 

The family wishes to thank Michelle Lamm of Coats, NC for being Gail’s caregiver and also to Community Hospice.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 442, Benson, NC 27504 in memory of Gail Johnson.
