Gardner Alfred Barbour

Laurel Springs, NC:  Mr. Gardner Alfred Barbour, age 84, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Genesis Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday, January 22, 2018, at Barbourtown Church of God in Benson.  Officiating will be Rev. Doug Combs.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mr. Barbour was born in Johnston County on April 3, 1933 to the late Lester Washington and Polly Mae Johnson Barbour.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Barbour. Mr. Barbour retired from residential construction and was a member of the Barbourtown Church of God.Survivors are wife of 64 years, Hilda Capps Barbour; children and spouses, Patricia B. Reardon and husband, James of West Jefferson, NC, Janice B. Johnson and husband, Dennis of Lansing, NC, Norma B. Langdon and husband, Sammy of Angier, NC, David Barbour and wife, Patricia of Four Oaks, NC, Randy Barbour and wife, Betty of Benson, NC, Joyce B. Smith and husband, Will of Laurel Springs, NC, Lester Barbour and wife, Cheryl of Wilkesboro, NC, Linda B. Stanley of Four Oaks, NC; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of Norma and Sammy Langdon 10044 NC Hwy 50 North Angier, NC 27501.Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.Service Information
