Benson, NC: Mr. George Truett Wheeless age 76 of 1114 W. Pope Street passed away Thursday at his residence. Graveside Services will be 2:00PM Sunday, September 9, 2012 Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Hubert Morgan.
Mr. Wheeless was born on August 11, 1936 to the late William Henry and Mattie Strickland Wheeless in the Brogden Community of Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his Sisters, Janie Langley, Helen Sasser and Mabel Olive, Brothers, William Henry Wheeless, Jr. and Theodore Wheeless and a Grandson, Channing Wheeless. Mr. Wheeless was a retired truck driver with Big Star Food Stores and Johnston County Public Waste.
Surviving include Wife of 42 years, Charlotte Hall Wheeless; Sons & Daughters-In-Law, Neil & Angie Wheeless of Benson, Mike Wheeless of Garner, and Ronnie & Christi Wheeless of Huntsville, AL; Daughter and Son-in-law; Gay & Jimmy Worrells of Greenville; Step-Daughters & Step-Sons-in-law, Lisa & Randy Young and Barbie & Larry McLamb both of Benson; Sisters, Ann Watkins of Newport News, VA and Katherine Stoltz of Sanford, NC. Eleven Grandchildren, Three Step Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren, and One Step-Great-Grandson.
Family will receive friends prior to the service 12:30pm until 1:30pm Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
