Benson, NC: Mrs. Gladys Pollard Gregory, age 91, of 504 W. Parrish Drive died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Donnie Barbour. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Gregory was born on October 24, 1923 in Harnett County to the late Lonnie Green & Lucy West Pollard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben Evis Gregory, son, Benny Haywood Gregory, daughter-in-law, Janice Jones Gregory (wife of James), sisters, Pearl Bayles, Pauline Munden, and Mary Jones, brothers, Hoyt Pollard, Horace Pollard, Howard Pollard and Lonnie Graham Pollard. A retired farmer, Mrs. Gregory also worked as a seamstress at Block Industries. She has been a member of Pleasant Union Christian Church in Lillington for more than 50 years.
Surviving are daughter & son-in law, Annette & Larry Goodwin of Durham; sons & daughter-in-law, Robert & Lynn Gregory of Apex and Dr. James Gregory of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Margaret Gregory, Frank Gregory, Michele Gregory and Erin Gregory; four great grandchildren, Gillian Gregory, Eileen Gregory, Duncan Suddarth, and Kate Suddarth; sisters, Novie Milton of Lillington; and Ruby Barbour of Benson; Many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30AM - 11:45AM prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and following the funeral service at the home 504 W. Parrish Drive, Benson, NC 27504.
