Gloria Strickland Tart

Benson:  Mrs. Gloria Strickland Tart, age 59, of 220 Adams Road died Saturday at Johnston Heath in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church.  Officiating will be Rev. Richard Whitman.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.    Mrs. Tart was born March 29, 1957 in Johnston County to the late Edward and Peggy Parker Strickland.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Tart Hayes and a sister, Janet Lee.   Mrs. Tart was a secretary with Allen R. Wood Electrical Company in Benson.  She was also a member of Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church.    Surviving are husband of 42 years, Larry Tart; daughter and son-in-law, Tina T. and Kenneth Snipes of Benson; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kim Tart of Benson; four grandchildren, Ethan Hayes, Caroline Snipes, Jeremy Tart and Jase Tart; and brother, Mike Strickland of Benson; many nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Tina and Kenneth Snipes, 3061 Hodges Chapel Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
