Grace Garner

Dunn, NC:  Mrs. Grace Turner Garner, age 94, of Dunn died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Vidant Hospice Center in Greenville, NC.   Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Elders Garlon Vick and Harold Pittman. Burial will follow in the Turner Family Cemetery in Dunn.      Mrs. Garner was born December 5, 1919 in Harnett County to the late Elder C. Dewey and Eva Bridgett Aydlett Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eli Garner; daughter, Judy G. Gregory; and brothers, Royce Turner, Merwin Turner, Claxton Turner, and Walton Turner.  Mrs. Garner was a homemaker and a member of Bear Grass Primitive Baptist Church.  She resided in Greenville for many years before moving to Dunn in the early 2000s.  For the past two years, Mrs. Garner was a resident of Spring Arbor of Greenville.      Surviving are children, Marty Haley of Emerald Isle and Mark Garner and wife, Gail, of Greenville;  7 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.      The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home from 1:30PM to 2:30PM Sunday prior to the service.      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Service League of Greenville, c/o Vidant Medical Center Foundation, P.
