Grace Allen Stewart

Four Oaks: Mrs. Grace Allen Stewart, age 93, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 3:00PM at Stewart’s Chapel PFWB Church, Four Oaks. Revs. Freddie Langston and Curtis Pierce will officiate. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Cemetery in Smithfield.

Mrs. Stewart was born on August 8, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Sampson and Stella Massengill Allen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene Stewart. Ms. Stewart worked for Jerold Corporation for many years and alongside her husband at the Neuse Plant and Bark Nursery. She was a member of Stewart’s Chapel PFWB Church where she faithfully served in many capacities throughout several decades. She lived out the command of God to do what was right to other people, to love being kind to others, and to live humbly, obeying her God.

Surviving is her daughter, Laura Jean Stewart of Four Oaks; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

In Accordance with NC-COVID -19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are not required by are highly suggested.
