Gregory "Greg" Sherman

July 2, 1953 — May 20, 2018

Dunn, NC:  Mr. Gregory “Greg” Eugene Sherman, age 64, of 1528 Ira B. Tart Road died Sunday at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Friday at Unity Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Dunn with military honors.  Revs. Jason Hudson and Don Davis will officiate.              Mr. Sherman was born July 2, 1953 in Pitt County to the late Robert Howard Sherman and Martha Barfield English.  He was a retired kidney dialysis tech at the Dunn Kidney Center.   Mr. Sherman was a US Army veteran and member of Unity Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks.               Surviving is his beloved wife of 42 years, Betty Jo Tew Sherman; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tasha Sherman of Four Oaks and Nicholas and Dana Sherman of Erwin; grandchildren, Richard Sherman and Lillian Sherman; great-grandson, Brycen Sherman; brothers, Charles Messerli of Greenville, Wayne English of Apex and Jeff English of Morehead; sisters, Brenda Hudson of Ayden, Barbara Bryan of Louisburg and Phyllis English of SC; goddaughter, Stephanie Torres of Dunn; mother-in-law, Louise Tew of Dunn; sisters-in-law, Cindy Ivey and Henrietta McLamb both of Benson; Pam Wise of Four Oaks and Kellie Tew of Knightdale; many nieces and nephews and beloved dog, Noel.             The family will receive friends 6:00PM - 8:00PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Unity Advent Christian Church, Bible Fund, 304 Unity Church Rd., Four Oaks, NC 27524 or Mayo Clinic, Development Department, 4500 San Pablo Rd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224.
