Fayetteville, NC: Mr. Harold Wilton Tart, age 86, died Saturday at the NC Veterans Home in Fayetteville. A Graveside service with full military honors will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson. Officiating will be Rev. J. T. Mercado.
Mr. Tart was born November 28, 1925 in Harnett County to the late Walter Hubbard and Cleta Williford Tart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorcas Dean Tart. He retired from the US Army after 24 years of service to his country. Mr. Tart was a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict.
Surviving included Sons & Daughter-In-Law, Glenn & Ruthie Tart of Apex and Donald Tart of Westminster, SC; Sisters, Naomi T. Churn of Chesapeake, Va., and Wanda T. Brown of Dunn; Brothers, Duvall Tart of Falcon and Doug Tart of Dunn; Grandchildren & Spouse, Greg Tart, Callie T. & Erik Riggs, and Casey Tart; and Great Grandsons, Nathaniel “ Nate” Riggs and Lucas Charles Riggs.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 9:30AM until 10:30AM Tuesday prior to the graveside service.
Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
