Harry Clayton "Cool" Jackson

July 19, 1942 — March 10, 2016

Dunn:   Mr. Harry Clayton Jackson, age 73, of 913 W. Core Road died Thursday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.  Funeral services will be 12:00PM Saturday at Benson First Assembly of God Church.  Officiating will be Rev. David Hughes.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.              Mr. Jackson was born July 19, 1942 in Harnett County to the late Troy and Bannie Bass Jackson.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, William E. Jackson and James Riley Jackson; sisters, Ruby Jackson Bailey, Barbara Jackson Polinyak, and Lois Jackson Godwin; son-in-law, James (Jamie) Carson Hayes,III; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Beatrice Hobson; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul Hobson, Jr. and Carolyn Hobson Culbreth.  Mr. Jackson was a retired produce manager with over forty years service for Winn Dixie and also a member of Benson First Assembly of God Church.  He was a loving husband, father and  was loved by all.  Mr. Jackson was also an avid fisherman, reader, master at growing plants and a treasure hunter for his wife, Katie.  Mr. Jackson was a lover of music and especially his dog, Gretchen.             Surviving are wife of fifty-one years, Katie Hobson Jackson; daughter,  Dawn Jackson Hayes of Four Oaks; son, Troy Paul Jackson of Wilmington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene Hobson of Fayetteville, Edward and Sylvia Hobson of Maryland, Steve and Kathy Hobson of Autryville, Donald Hobson of Godwin, Max and Brenda Honeycutt of Godwin, Tommy and Denise Hobson of Roseboro, Quincy and Darlene Hobson of Rocky Point, Wanda Matthews of Dunn, and Cindy Wood of Erwin; many nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends at Benson First Assembly of God Church from 10:30AM to 11:45AM Saturday prior to the service and other times at the home.              Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
