Harvey Ray Stewart

Benson, NC: Mr. Harvey Ray Stewart, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Stewart’s wishes were for a private burial on the family farm. 

Mr. Stewart was born on August 19, 1953 in Harnett County, NC to the late Charlie and Ruth Allen Stewart. Alongside his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Stewart and William Charles Stewart, and a sister, Nancy Sue Norris. Mr. Stewart was a retired farmer and owned and operated an auto body shop. Later in life he was called into the ministry and started Grace Free Will Baptist Church.

 Survivors include his wife, Barbara House Stewart; daughters, Jennifer S. Martin, Carolyn S. Townsend, and Stephanie S. Martin; son, William Harvey Stewart; six grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews.
