Holley Hudson

Mr. Holley D Hudson, age 86, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Revs. Randy Beasley, Jesse Mooney, and L. B. Collins. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery, Coats.  Mr. Hudson was born August 27, 1925 in Johnston County to the late Reto and Libbie Adams Hudson. He was also preceded in death by brother, Woodrow Hudson; and sisters, Mozelle Barefoot, Mavis Dunn, Janie Bell Beasley; and Rosella Lee.  Mr. Hudson was a retired Contractor and Carpenter for Popes Distributing Company and for Fort Bragg. He attended Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson was a US Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the Banner Post 109 American Legion. Surviving include his Wife of 68 years, Pauline “Polly” Poole Hudson; Daughters & Son-In-Law,  Hollie Sue Rothe of Minnesota, and Nancy & Roy Avery of Angier; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Richard & Elayne Hudson of Coats; Seven Grandchildren, Dena Dimond, DeeAnn LaLuzerne, Dodie Taylor, Darin Rothe, Ryan Avery, Keith Avery, and Joshua Hudson; and Great Grandchildren, Kendrick Dimond, Cody Taylor, Natalie LaLuzerne, Kurt LaLuzerne Jocelyn Dimond, and Addison Hudson. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
