Ila Gilbert

Four Oaks, NC:  Mrs. Ila Stanley Gilbert, age 83, of 5176 US 301 South died Monday, January 5, 2015, at Johnston Health in Smithfield.  Funeral services will be 2:00PM Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks.  Rev. Emmitt Jones will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.        Mrs. Gilbert was born on November 22, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Preston and Bessie Ellen Hayes Stanley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Gilbert.  Mrs. Gilbert was a sales clerk at Belks and was a homemaker.  She was a life long member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.       Surviving are daughters,  Ann Wood and Gail Denning, both of Dunn; 4 grandchildren & spouses, Lee Denning, Jr., Lindy & Brian Barnhill, Lori & Jason Duke, and Jordan Wood; and 4 great granddaughters, Madison Barnhill, Taiylor Barnhill, Kacie Barnhill, and Adalyn Duke.        The family will receive friends  at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday.
