Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ira Allen, Jr., age 85, of Four Oaks died Thursday, August 30, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John Norman. Burial will follow at Four Oaks Cemetery, Four Oaks. Mr. Allen was born July 24, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Ira & Alice Barbour Allen.  He was a retired truck driver with Anchor Motor Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Four Oaks.  Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his Parents, and a Brother, Narron Lee Allen. He was a United States Veteran serving in the Air Force. Surviving Are: Wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Strickland Allen, Son & Daughter-In-Law, Robert E. and Rose L. Allen of Four Oaks. Grandchildren; Summer A. and Brian McLamb of Hillsborough and Casey Allen of Raleigh.  Great Grandchildren; Allison and Caleb McLamb. Family will receive friends at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Four Oaks on Friday, August 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
