Irene Guy

Cary, NC: Mrs. Irene Jernigan Guy, age 88, died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her daughter's  residence.  Funeral Service will be 4:00PM Monday, June 24, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC.  Officiating will be Rev. Carey Horrell.  Burial will follow in Kennebec Cemetery, Angier with Rev. Tommy Smith. Mrs. Guy was born on June 9, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Harvey H. and Bessie Jane J. Jernigan.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Guy, grandson, Bobby Ray Guy and a sister, Marjorie Ellen Stewart.  Mrs. Guy was a homemaker and member of Faith Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church. Surviving include her children, Donnie Ray Guy and wife, Wanda of VA, Deborah G. Denson, and husband, Henry of Princeton, Diane Barnes of Smithfield, and Alex Guy and wife, Jeane of Cameron; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Ethel Poole of Coats; several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 2:30PM - 3:45PM Monday, at Rose and Graham Funeral Home  in Benson and other times at the home of Deborah Denson, 4928 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
