Irving Champion, Jr.

Dunn: Mr. Irving Jackson Champion, Jr. age 68, of 932 Clayhole Road died Saturday at his residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM-Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.   Officiating will be Mr. Jeremy Byrd.                 Mr. Champion was born March 28, 1948 in Harnett County to the late Irving Jackson, Sr. and Estelle Jones Champion.  Mr. Champion retired from Best Distributing as a truck driver.      Surviving include his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Jackson Champion; children, Bobby Joe Champion and wife, Brandy of Coats; Tammy Dudley and husband, Elvis of Benson; and Chris Champion and wife, LeeAnn of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Carleigh Champion, Macy Champion, Nathan Champion, Ashton Dudley, Cami Dudley, Tyler Dudley and Maddux Champion;  great-grandson, Eli Helsher. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
