James Barbour

Coats: Mr. James Alford Barbour, age 68, of 220 DeAnne Lane died Monday, May 29, 2012, at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Friday, June 1, 2012, at Pentecost Worship Center in Lillington.  Rev. Joan Jackson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Plainview Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Angier. Mr. Barbour was born August 18, 1943 in Johnston County to the late James Judd and Lystra Pearl Holland Barbour. He was also predeceased by twin brother, George Halford Barbour; brother, Sherwood Barbour; and sister, Mayfield Williams. He was a drywall contractor and a member of Spirit & Truth Gospel Singing Group.  He is survived by wife, Donna Kay Lewis Barbour; Daughters, Vanessa Amick of Coats and Michelle Sykes of Sneads Ferry; Son, Michael Barbour of Four Oaks; Sisters, Joanne Grimes and husband, Donnie, and Vickie Hillman and husband, Richard, all of Angier; Sister-in-law, Jean Barbour of Willow Spring; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; and nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and other times at the home of Vanessa Amick, 2873 Old Stage Road North, Coats, NC.
