James McLamb

Four Oaks: Mr. James E. McLamb, age 88, of 850 Green Pasture Rd died Thursday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  Graveside Services will be 2:00PM Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Micheal Johnson.             Mr. McLamb was born January 24, 1923 in Johnston County to the late Benny and Lyda Hayes McLamb.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy P. McLamb. Mr. McLamb was a sanitation worker with the public works in Selma for 30 years. Survivors are Son, James Edward McLamb; Daughters, Carolyn McLamb Lane of Selma; Hilda Hall of Lillington, Frances Holloman of Selma; Sisters, Eltheleen Moore of Selma; Lillie Langston of Selma; Eleven Grandchildren; Nine Great-Grandchildren; Special Friend, Renee Shasteen of Smithfield; Several Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 1:00PM to 1:45PM Saturday prior to the service.
