James "Jim" Wicker

Erwin, NC: Mr. James Kirby “Jim” Wicker, age, 80, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC. Revs. Danny Helms and Wesley Cotton will officiate.                Mr. Wicker was born December 2, 1939 in Harnett County to the late Charles Jones and Nettie Rackley Wicker.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannie Wicker and brothers, Charles Randy Wicker and Terry Wayne Wicker.  He retired from Kelly Springfield, loved his gardening, and was a member of Erwin Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.             Surviving include his wife, Norma Strickland Wicker; sons, Michael Wicker and Mark Wicker both of Erwin; grandchildren, Leigha Wicker and Carly Wicker; many nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service on Saturday. Due to the current health concerns, please practice social distancing when speaking to the family.               The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.                In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Erwin Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 135 Erwin Chapel Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
