James Douglas Paul

Benson, NC: Mr. James Douglas Paul, 31, of Benson, NC, father of Colton Douglas Paul and grandson of the late Carl Denver Paul, passed Saturday, February 4, 2017.                A Celebration of Life service will be 5:00PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Corum and Mr. Steve Burns.                James was preceded in death by sister Dawn Marie Paul Reynolds, grandmother Marjorie Welch, dear friend and veteran Christopher Pero, and several cherished aunts and uncles. A third-generation commercial roofing construction and maintenance worker, James is best known for his playful sense of humor and loyal, loving heart. He recently shared a poignant quote stating, "If I've learned anything from life, it's that sometimes, the darkest times can bring us to the brightest places. I've learned that no matter how difficult things seem, there's always hope."                James is survived by parents Doug & Joy Welch Paul, of Benson, sisters Helen Rose, Lisa Michelle, and April Lynne, and nieces and nephews Brianna, MacKenzie, Nathaniel, Jared, Ivan, Anna, and Naomi, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.                Family will receive friends immediately following the service.                In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Victory Junction Camp in James Paul's memory 4500 Adams Way Randleman, NC 27317.                 Condolences may be sent to the family at roseandgraham.com                Arrangements by  Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
