James "J.C." Beasley

Dunn: Mr. James Charles “J. C.” Beasley, age 81, of Dunn died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Wake Medical Center in Cary.  Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Dr. Larry Withrow and Rev. Doug Abel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn.  Mr. Beasley was born September 21, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Jada Allen and Roberta McLamb Beasley.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Jo Beasley, an infant son, and sister, Elgie B. Spence.  Mr. Beasley was a farmer and associated with Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church. Survivors are Wife of 52 years, Joyce Evans Beasley; Sisters, Marie B. Holmes of Dunn, Madie B. Strickland of Dunn, Joyce B. Myers of Dunn, Hazel B. McLamb of Benson, Shirley B. Hudson of Eastover, Rochelle B. Tart of Dunn, JoAnn B. McLamb of Darlington, SC, and Barbara B. Barefoot of Dunn; Brother, Graham Beasley of Newton Grove; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 1:00PM to 2:45PM Thursday, December 29, 2011, prior to the service. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church Building Fund, c/o Phyllis Barefoot, 64 Wood’s Crossroads Road, Benson, NC  27504 or to one’s favorite charity.
