Jane Ann Anderson Rush

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Jane Ann Anderson Rush, age 85, died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Springbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clayton.  Memorial Service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday,  July 9, 2019 at Benson Baptist Church in Benson.  Officiating will be her daughter, Rev. Cari R. Willis.             Mrs. Rush was born June 22, 1933 in Memphis, TN to the late Harold F. and Gladeus Sargeant Anderson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Rush, Sr.  Mrs. Rush was a retired teacher assistant with Virginia Public Schools and a member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church in Warrenton, VA.                     Survivors include her beloved children, Rev. Dr. Charles T. Rush and wife, Kate of Summit, NJ, John A. Rush and wife, Beverly of Tacoma, WA, Rev. Cari R. Willis of Benson, and Virginia Rush Smits and husband, René of Fredericksburg, VA; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Robinson and husband, Donald of Memphis, TN and Alice Harbour and husband, Franklin of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews             The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00PM - 3:45PM Tuesday prior to the service.             In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Ste. 101, Raleigh, NC 27612 or to Benson Baptist Church, P.O.Box 323, Benson, NC 27504 for their food pantry.             Arrangements by Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.             Condolences may be sent to the family at www.roseandgraham.com
