Janet Esther Joseph

Ms. Janet Esther Joseph, age 72, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2023 at the Davis Community in Wilmington, NC.  A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM-Friday, April 28, 2023 at Benson Baptist Church 200 W. Church Street, Benson, NC 27504. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC. Rev. Miles Siler will officiate.

Ms. Joseph was born on February 20, 1951 in Harnett County, NC to the late Kelly Joseph, Sr., and Geneva Baddour Joseph. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kelly Joseph Jr. Ms. Joseph was a retired elementary school teacher.  She loved her children and family, and enjoyed laughing, cooking, and spending time with her friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Yarborough Sparrow and husband Nathan of Greensboro, NC; son, William Yarborough and wife Tracie of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Ellison Sparrow, Elijah Sparrow, Marley Brisson, and Dylan Brisson; sisters, Kelly Anne Joseph Smaha, and Yvonne Assad both of Macon, Georgia; nieces, Kelley Anne Smaha Peterson, Yve Assad Fulford, Richa Perrin; nephews, Ched Smaha, and Edward Assad.

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Friday, April 28, 2023 in the sanctuary of Benson Baptist Church.
