Janet Young

Dunn, NC:  Mrs. Janet Lassiter Young, age 59, of 1397 Bud Hawkins Road, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.  A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM-Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Revs.  Richard McKenna and Glenn McCullen will officiate.                             Mrs. Young was born on October 20, 1959 in Johnston County to the late Garnett and Jewel Honeycutt Lassiter.  Mrs. Young was a retired register nurse and member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.                  Surviving include her husband of seven years, Dennis Young; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kelli Blackmon of Four Oaks; daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Joey Tart of Autryville; grandchildren, Mylee Blackmon, Letti Tart and Della Blackmon; sisters, Gail Lassiter Moore and husband, Gary of Four Oaks and Joan L. McLamb and husband, Danny Lee McLamb of Benson; step-children, Kenneth Ray Young of South Carolina, Angela Howell and Amy Young both of McGee's Crossroads, Karen Blackmon and Cassidy Phillips both of Benson; seven step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Godwin of Morehead City, and many nieces and nephews.               The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service on Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Joan and Danny Lee McLamb, 1117 Benson-Hardee Road, Benson, NC 27504.              Flowers are welcomed; however, the family suggest memorials be made to one's favorite charity.                 Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.roseandgraham.com              Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC
