Benson, NC: Mrs. Janice Gregory Johnson, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM-Monday, April 3, 2023 at Benson City Cemetery in Benson, NC. Pastor Eddie White will officiate. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mrs. Johnson was born on February 29, 1936 in Norfolk, VA, however was raised in Virginia Beach, VA, before attending Mary Washington College.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Luke and Ida White Gregory, and a daughter, Nancy Lynn Terhune.  Mrs. Johnson had a great love for horses, which continued throughout her entire life.

Survivors include her husband, William H. “Billy” Johnson; daughter, Susan Runco and husband, Jeff of Ranson, West Virginia; grandsons, Robert Motch of New Jersey, and Jeremy Runco of Hawaii; five great-grandchildren, brother, Henry Gregory of Arizona; and a lifelong friend, Sandy Debose of Camden, South Carolina.
