Janice O'Neal

Mrs. Janice “Jan” Massengill O’Neal, age, 72 of 117 Wilkins-O’Neal Road passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, NC.   Funeral Service will be 3:00PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. Officiating will be the Revs. Donnie Massey and John Norman.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. O’Neal was born October 10, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Percy Bright & Bettie Parker Massengill. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Morgan, four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. O’Neal was a graduate of Four Oaks High School and Hardbarger Business School where she received her business administration degree.  Mrs. O’Neal retired from the state of North Carolina with the Disability Department.  After retirement, Mrs. O’Neal was the secretary for the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks and was a homemaker.  Mrs. O’Neal was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC where she served in many capacities. Surviving include: Husband of 43 years, Richard O’Neal; Daughter, Connie Britt; Grandchildren, Heather Parker, Joshua Britt and Joana Morgan; Great-Grandchildren, Luke Raynor and Emily Jane Morgan; Sisters, Vercie Lee Eller and Mildred Stalzer; Brother, Durwood Massengill; Many Nieces and Nephews. Special Family Friends, Jr. & Rose Kornegay. Family will receive from 1:30PM-2:30PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 prior to the service at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC.
