Willow Spring, NC: Mrs. Janice D. Parrish (Allen), age 79, of Dupree Road passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at her daughter’s residence in Albemarle, NC surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier. Officiating will be Revs. R. B. Parrish and Rhonda Hamilton.
Mrs. Parrish was born August 1, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Willis Hughes and Bernice Medlin Dupree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jacob Parrish; brother, Jerry Hughes Dupree. Mrs. Parrish retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital after 30 years of service as a ward secretary.
Surviving include her children, Thomas Randy Parrish and wife, Pam of Angier, Kimberly Parrish Sides and husband, Donnie of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Allison Nelms and husband, Ryan, Matthew Parrish and wife, Lauren, Morgan Cole, and Blake Cole; great-grandchildren, Brock and Baylee Reagan; sister, Betty D. Barnes, and husband, Donnie of Angier; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parrish will be available for you to view and sign the register book from 9:00AM-12:00PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
Flowers are welcomed, however memorials may be made to American Cancer Society ( Johnston County Unit) 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for all services.
