J.C. Jernigan, Jr.

Benson, NC: Mr. J.C. Jernigan, Jr., age, 68, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.  A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Burial will follow in Barbourtown Church of God Church Cemetery.  Rev. Josh Brown will officiate.              Mr. Jernigan was born on April 24, 1952 in Johnston County to the late Jasper Calvin, Sr. and Lila Rose Temple Jernigan.  He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Brown, sisters, Faye Satterfield, Myrtle Blake, and Margie Mclamb and a brother, Tommy Jernigan.  Mr. Jernigan was a retired mechanic, construction worker and jack of all trades. He was a member of The Gospel Tabernacle in Dunn.              Surviving include his wife of 41 years, Margaret Ann Monds Jernigan; children, Brenda Brown Warren and husband, James of Dunn; Rusty Brown and wife, Jennifer of Erwin and Eddie Brown and wife, Crystal of Coats; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Padgett of Benson and a brother, Johnny Jernigan and wife, Carolyn of Benson; many nieces and nephews.                Due to the current health concerns the family understands if you are not able to join them for the funeral service.
