Jeirl McLamb

Benson, NC: Mr. Jeirl McLamb, age 84, of 808 Beasley Road died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday, July 20, 2012, at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.  Officiating will be Rev. Randy Beasley and Mr. Ronald Hudson. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Mr. McLamb was born September 23, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Frad and Lessie Beasley McLamb. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Jeirl McLamb; and a brother, Jader McLamb. Mr. McLamb was a retired farmer, and a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson. He was also a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 in Benson and a World War II veteran serving in the U. S. Army and U. S. Navy. Surviving include, Wife of 61years, Bernice Hudson McLamb of Benson, Daughter and Son-In-Law, Debbie and Neil Strickland of Four Oaks, Son and Daughter-In-Law, Dale and Patsy McLamb of Dunn; Five Grandchildren; Four Great-Grandchildren; Brother and Sister-In-Law, Sherrill and Vida McLamb of Four Oaks; Sister-In-Law, Luna McLamb; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
