Jessie Belle Hunt Sampson

Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Jessie Bell Hunt Sampson, age 80 of Four Oaks, NC and formerly of Fairmont, NC departed this life at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC peacefully on October 10, 2023. Although her stay at SECU Hospice House was brief, The Sampson Family would like to thank the staff for the care she received. Jessie’s request was for cremation and no service or burial.

Jessie was born on March 28, 1943 in Robeson County to the late Silas Hunt and Beulah Dial Sanderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Essie Neal Hunt Leggett; two brothers, Pernell Hunt and Redell Hunt; her step-father, Marvin Sanderson; one brother-in-law, Lonny Campbell and one sister-in-law, Irene Hunt.

Jessie is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Sampson Parrish of Four Oaks, NC and Vanessa “Kaye” Sampson-DeRamus (Tom) of Efland, NC; two granddaughters, Lauren Parker and her fiancé, Matthew Lee of Benson, NC and Kayla DeRamus of Efland, NC, and the light of her life her great-grandson, Barrett Kendall Parker; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Grace Lee and her two great-grand dogs, Harper and June Parker; four brothers, Adnell Hunt of Leland, NC, Earl Sanderson (Wilma) of Pine Tops, NC, Bobby Sanderson (Janice) of Pembroke, NC and Gregory Sanderson of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Annie Neal Campbell of Alapaha, GA and Joanne Hayes (Corky) of Lumberton, NC and several nieces and nephews.
