Benson, NC: Mr. Julian Harold “Harry” Rogers, Jr., age 63, of Benson died Monday, September 17, 2012, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Condary Ellis and Mr. Don Johnson. A Graveside service will be 10:00AM Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Roselawn Cemetery, Benson. Mr. Rogers was born May 21, 1949 in Johnston County to the late Julian Harold Rogers, Sr. and Isabelle “Mac” Stephenson Rogers. He had retired from the NC Department of Corrections in Raleigh. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Benson Baptist Church. Surviving include his Brother & Sister-In-Law, Tommy & Beth Rogers of Benson; Niece & Spouse, Emile R. & Victor Lancaster of Benson; Nephew, Thomas D. “Len” Rogers of Jupiter, FL.; and Great Niece & Nephew, Dylan Lancaster and Hannah Lancaster. Family will receive friends immediately following the service Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tommy & Beth Rogers, 1451 Tarheel Road, Benson. Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
