J. Lenward Hayes

Mr. James Lenward Hayes, age 82, of 463 Surles Road died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield.  Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn Fell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born July 21, 1929 in Johnston County to the late James “Jack” Henry and Pearl Weaver Hayes.  He was also preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Adams and Lessie McLamb and brothers, Lloyd Ray Hayes and Bobby Hayes.  He was a bus driver with Carolina Coach for 30 years.  Mr. Hayes also owned and operated “The Enchanted Barn” for 30 years.            Surviving are Wife of 59 years, Lorease Moore Hayes; Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Sylvia & Chris Wallace of Benson and Ann & Wayne Raynor of Benson; Son & Fiancée, James Mark Hayes and Suzzan Solis of Benson; Grandchildren, Scott Langdon, Karen Spivey, Kelly Raynor, Lori Raynor, Heather Hayes, and Amber Hayes; and Great Grandchildren, Freddy Wayne Martin & Jordan Moye.   Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, October 24, 2011, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
