John Timothy Peede

Coats, NC: Mr. John Timothy Peede, age 61, of NC-27 passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM - Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Coats Baptist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Chris Wroten. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Dunn.

Mr. Peede was born on September 10, 1961 in Harnett County, NC to the late Fleming and Catherine Upchurch Peede. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas “Nick” Peede; a brother, Jerry Peede. Mr. Peede was the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for South River. He was a member of Coats Baptist Church.

Surviving include his wife of 41 years, Kathy S. Peede; daughter, Katie P. Jones and husband, R. J. of Angier; grandchildren, Audrey and Trey Jones; sister, Cathy Byrd of Coats; brother, Michael Peede and wife, Kathy of Coats; mother-in-law, Doris Strickland of Coats; sisters-in-law, Sharon Stevens and husband, Doug of Coats, Debbie Clary and husband, Ty of Mt. Ulla, Sheila Corriher and husband, Randy of Rockwell; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to SECU Family House in Chapel Hill, 123 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
