Angier, NC: Mr. John Henry Sealey, Sr., age 90, died Thursday at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Benson. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Saturday at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Angier. Officiating will be Rev. R. B. Parrish.
Mr. Sealey was born in Johnston County on December 4, 1925 to the late Aaron and Lillie Browning Sealey. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Mattie "Pat" Ray Sealey and Maude Frances Smith Sealey; sisters, Matrid S. Cooke, Polly Sealey, Hettie Pearl Mills; brother, Claude Sealey; and special angel, great granddaughter, Jace Harper Sealey. Mr. Sealey served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Banner Post 109 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from Southern Bell. Mr. Sealey was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and as the sexton of the church cemetery.
Surviving are son & daughter-in-law, John H., Jr. and Marie D. Sealey of Angier; grandchildren & spouses, Christina & Donald Czysz and John H., III & Jaime Sealey, all of Angier; great grandchildren, Coen Czysz and Kelcey Marie Czysz; and step-daughter & husband, Sue & Andy Johnson of Clayton.
