Benson, NC: Mr. Joshua Miles McLamb, age 40 of US Hwy 301 South, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Benson United Methodist Church in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Billy Olsen and Freddy Wayne Langston.
Joshua was born in Wake County on June 23, 1980 to Tony and Martha Sorrell McLamb of Benson. Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and two aunts. He remembered them as being “Up in Heaven and in my heart.” He was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. Joshua often said, “Take off, go fishing,” and loved watching his brother play bass fiddle at bluegrass festivals. He had an impeccable childhood memory and would say, “Who pulled Joshua’s hair? Matthew did!” Joshua loved his brothers and all of his family dearly. He loved his church and was a blessing and a joy to all who knew him. He is now “Up in Heaven and in our hearts.”
Surviving in addition to his parents are, brothers, Zachary McLamb and wife, Karen of Four Oaks, Matthew McLamb and wife, Andrea of Angier; niece and nephews, Madison and Mason McLamb, Luke and Levi McLamb; numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for the service.
